Storytelling Festival
Sunday, 27th May 2018. 6:00 p.m.
“Robert
carried on teaching the children, not just the curriculum, but things from his
culture too, manners, team work, different ways of looking at and solving
problems. As Robert lived out of the town he wasn't aware of something that was
bubbling away under the surface that would affect his job and his faith in
education.”
Story of a
young Traveller teacher who is devoted, hard working and well loved by the
children and who speaks up in a discriminative situation. What shall a
Traveller teacher do if the seemingly tolerant school management tries to
silence him?
written and performed by Richard R. O’Neill
